Khao Kheow Open Zoo to Host Chinese New Year Celebration Among Exotic Animals in Chonburi

Chonburi —

Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi hops in to host the Chinese New Year celebration complete with exotic animals to ring in the year of rabbits.

The zoo will be decorated in a Chinese theme, filled with brightly red ornaments such as fortune lanterns and archways to welcome tourists, and of course, the door is open for all nationalities.

Many friendly and exotic animals at Khao Kheow Open Zoo will be joining this celebration by showcasing their spectacular talents. One of the stars there is “Power” the baby white rhino.

Although she is a bit shy, she is very cute and it will be her first time taking the stage since she was born, the zoo announced.

Other than Power, a lot more species are waiting to strike some great poses in competition for the visitors’ affection. More than 40 penguins will be lining up to be hand-fed by visitors. Tiny pigs, giraffes, ring-tailed lemurs, and sloths are fine with being given a little treat up close too, said the zoo.

The Chinese New Year celebration will take place this weekend at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi’s Sri Racha district, just a short drive from Pattaya. It is a must-visit spot if you want to experience the Chinese New Year festival in the most extraordinary way!
