More than 12,000 tourists joined in the Full Moon party on Pha-Ngan Island in Surat Thani.

Mr. Wiwat Chuenban, vice president of the Tourism Council of Thailand told the Phuket Express “The party was held yesterday (December 9th) at Rin Beach in the Baan Tai sub-district.”

“More than 12,000 Thai and foreign tourists were enjoying the party. Restaurants, hotels, and shops at the beach were also full of customers. This was the last night of the Full Moon Party for the last full moon this year,” Mr. Wiwat added.

Meanwhile, the Pha-Ngan district officials and police were patrolling the party to ensure safety.
