Reader Talkback Thailand Results: What road in Pattaya needs the MOST urgent repair attention in your opinion and why?

The following is our exclusive weekly feature in which we ask our readers a news topical question and then give you a week to answer it on our various channels, compiling a diverse range of answers and opinions to present to you, our valued readers. Here are the results from our last question…

Recently, we asked you the following:

What road in Pattaya needs the MOST urgent repair attention in your opinion and why?

Some context around this question:

We get on a daily basis concerns about various roads in Pattaya be it the need for construction, seemingly never-ending construction, or construction that needs better lighting, signs, warnings, clean-up, etc.  Road construction has seemed never-ending in Pattaya and some areas are worse than others. It’s clear that areas in high-optic tourism zones like Walking Street or the Second Road near Walking Street recently also got priority and were repaired…

But there are plenty of other areas and roads that need attention, even besides major areas like Threpprasit and Second Road in Central Pattaya, and we want to compile a list from our readers on where AND why it’s a priority.

Here is what you, our readers, had to say as our editors selected some of the most diverse responses to highlight different points of view. Obviously, we can’t post everyone’s opinion here so we chose a variety of the most varied opinions. The views and statements below are the reader’s own and may not reflect those of TPN media. There have been minor edits for spelling and grammar only:

Martin T-Thepprasit Road needs re-doing, all the drains are 6 inches above the road surface with red & white reflective tape wrapped around

Jimmy H-2nd Road is a nightmare.

D.R-. Thepprasit Road, what a horrible nightmare for business owners, the area is a disaster zone.

Kyle L-The worst area is currently Thepprasit Road, with Second Road a close tie.

I.C-Evidently Walking Street is being torn up again in March. What a disaster, three years to move cables underground?

Mod S-Hello, I am Thai. The worst is the flooding by the railroad, and many villages get flooded every time here too. Nobody cares.

Bruce-Sanctuary of Truth road. This is supposed to be the road to a world-class tourist attraction but looks like garbage.

Liam R-I have a feeling the Beach Road work starting is going to be the worst. We still haven’t even finished Second Road.

N.I-Soi 15 near Avenue. Looks like my toilet on a bad day.

As a note, we had MANY submissions for Second Road and Threpprasit, too many to share, which seems to be a HUGE priority for residents.
