Pattaya —

A follow-up investigation by Pattaya police led to the arrest of what they called a major drug suspect in Bangkok yesterday, November 7th.

The follow-up investigation was under the direction of Pattaya police chief Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai after he believed minor drug suspects arrested in Pattaya were connected with a larger drug dealer residing in Bangkok.

On November 7th, the investigation team succeeded in arresting the Thai suspect, 42-year-old Mr. Pharanyu “Kong” Buengbon. He was apprehended at a house in Bangkok’s Don Mueang district with 40,000 pills of methamphetamine wrapped in yellow duct tape labeled 999 and five stars.

The suspect is being prosecuted for selling a type 1 narcotic (methamphetamine) and disseminating illegal drugs to the public.
