The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reports fourteen provinces in the South of Thailand are suffering from flooding while in the northern part of Thailand the temperature has dropped.
The DDPM reports that a Southwest monsoon has covered the Andaman Sea and The Gulf of Thailand causing heavy rain and floods. High pressure is covering the northern part of Thailand since last month.
Fourteen provinces are still suffering from flooding and impacting a total of 180,442 families. Meanwhile, water levels have continued to decrease.
Narathiwat has been announced as a flooding disaster area. Many local bridges have been destroyed by the floods. Authorities have assisted locals to install temporary bridges.
In the northern part of Thailand weather temperatures have dropped up to two degrees Celsius in the mornings with light fog.
