No fatalities after devastating pickup truck collision in Banglamung

Banglamung –

A driver and his passenger have miraculously survived a horrific accident after two pickup trucks crashed in Banglamung.

The Huayyai Police were notified of the accident this morning (November 6th) on the Hauyyai – Chak Ngaew Road in the Hauyyai sub-district.

Emergency responders and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the severely damaged, nearly totalled, pickup trucks.

One driver, Mr. Teerapong Chanoat, 31, was stuck inside the cab. He had sustained serious injuries. It took about half an hour for rescue workers to free him with a hydraulic cutter. His passenger, a Myanmar worker, had sustained various non-life threatening injuries. They were both taken to a nearby hospital.

Rescue workers said it was a miracle both men had survived based on the damage to the vehicle.

Nearby rescue workers found another heavily damaged pickup truck. The driver, Mr. Teeradet Jaikwang, 30 told the Pattaya News that he was driving in his lane. He had no idea what has happened. Luckily he has not been injured.

Police are checking CCTV footage nearby to find the exact cause of the accident for potential legal action.
