Several assets worth as much as 150 million baht, which police said belonged to a Chinese kingpin owner of an illegal nightclub in Bangkok’s Yannawa district, were confiscated by police.

The Chinese-run nightclub, Jin Ling, made headlines in October after over 104 customers, mostly Chinese nationals, were caught by police while having a drug party inside.

The nightclub was suspected to be illegally operated by a Chinese owner, according to police.

A further investigation led to a search at a luxurious condominium overlooking a river on Soi Somdet Chao Phraya 17 in Bangkok’s Khlong San district.

Investigation officers tracked the condominium from a Rolls-Royce, which reportedly belonged to a Chinese man, 21-year-old Wang Zhen Nan, parked at Jin Ling nightclub.

At the condominium, police seized a stash of cash in a safe box worth 19 million Baht, an expensive bottle of wine (200,000 baht), two Rolls-Royces, a Mercedes-Maybach, a Mercedes-Benz AMG, and many others. Police are checking if the vehicles are legally registered.

The seized assets amounted to approximately 150 million baht, according to police.

Wang Zhen Nan entered Thailand on a tourist visa and had no criminal record, police said. He had flown his private aircraft out of the kingdom since October 26th via Phuket international airport and his current location was unknown.
