Sawang Boriboon rescuers rushed to the Tham Samakkhi temple in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi, after getting a call from Abbott Phisanjariyakon about a local woman whom he found unconsciously lying in front of a crematorium.

The Abbott told rescuers the woman was a local resident named Sa. She was around 60 years old. Sa was addicted to alcohol and often roamed around the temple to ask for money, the abbot said. Her real name was unknown.

The woman wore white shorts and a pink T-shirt. The Abbott found her lying upwards foaming at her mouth and with serious facial injuries. She was also barely breathing and had a weak pulse, so the rescuers rushed her to Pattaya Hospital for emergency treatment.

Banglamung police are investigating the case and talking with the Abbott for more information.
