43 teenagers arrested at two alleged drug parties in Sattahip area

Sattahip, Chonburi —

Chonburi police busted two alleged drug parties in the Sattahip area and arrested over 43 teenagers, mostly under 18 years old.

Chonburi police led by Pol. Maj. Gen. Kittanate Thanananthavisin, Chief Commander of Chonburi Police, arranged a press conference to announce a massive arrest of 43 teenagers who allegedly mingled at two unnamed resorts in the Sattahip area to hold drug parties.

The operation to take down the two parties took place at 2.30 AM on Thursday, November 3rd, after police received a tip-off from concerned citizens.

The resorts were located in the Phlu Ta Luang subdistrict of Sattahip, Chonburi. Police officers stormed into the first resort to find 26 teenagers allegedly taking illegal drugs inside. 17 were men and 9 were women. Four of them were still under 18 years old.

Several sachets of ketamine, a homemade handgun, 20 bullets, and a car were discovered and compounded by police. The arrested teenagers went through drug tests, which found that most were positive.

Then Chonburi police raided another resort and arrested 17 teenagers (10 men and 7 women). Nine of them were under 18. Some teenagers were still under the influence of drugs during the arrest, according to police.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Kittanate said at the conference that he would prosecute all suspects.
