Thief steals money from washing machines in Sri Racha

Sri Racha, Chonburi —

A security camera caught a man using a bolt cutter to cut open washing machines’ coin boxes and stealing money in the middle of the night on October 31st.

The incident took place at a local grocery store in the Nongkham subdistrict of Sri Racha, Chonburi.

The thief was a man wearing a long-sleeved shirt, shorts, and a motorcycle helmet, according to CCTV footage. He took about a minute to cut open the coin boxes of two washing machines and steal around 300 baht before fleeing.

The store owner, 43-year-old Ms. Runchana Wannachamrat, told The Pattaya News that petty crimes in her neighborhood were becoming ubiquitous, and she wanted relevant authorities to take action. Multiple laundromats had been burgled.

Ruchana would file a police report with the Sri Racha police to arrest the suspect.
