Father Ray Foundation opens bakery school to teach people with disabilities in Pattaya how to bake

Pattaya —

Many organizations in Pattaya strive to improve the quality of life for those who are less fortunate, and one of them is the Father Ray Foundation, which recently opened the “Ray Bakery School” to teach disabled people to bake.

Many people struggle to find work because they are physically impaired, and the foundation recognizes this problem and wants to assist disabled people in finding work by providing free baking lessons to reduce inequality in society.

Purimprech Dokhom, head of the Career Department of the Redemptorist Foundation for PWDs, (People with disabilities) said the school received so much positive response from customers that it had to be renovated and expanded. The foundation is caring for children aged 7 to 18 years old, and once they turn 18, they will be taught professional skills.

The Ray Bakery School both teaches and provides jobs for disabled people. After one to two years of training, they will get to service customers at the bakery shop to make their living.
