Sri Racha —

A Thai salesman said he was following GPS when he suddenly fell unconscious at the wheel and plunged into a canal on the roadside.

Sri Racha rescue services went to an accident scene on Soi Allay in the Bowin subdistrict of Sri Racha to help the man get out of his white sedan that plunged into a dry, 3-meter-deep canal.

The man, 35-year-old Nattakorn Dokkularb, sustained non-life-threatening leg injuries. He told local media that he was a salesman and was following GPS while negotiating a bend when he suddenly had a blackout and plunged into a canal. The road did not have a guardrail, according to local media.

The man was safe, and his car was lifted from the canal by rescue services.

Nattakorn stated he would check with a doctor on what could have caused his sudden blackout.
