Rescuers administered medical assistance to the victim, Ms. Sasiampai Chailangka, who was stabbed four times in her back and abdomen, but she eventually succumbed to her wounds and died. According to rescuers, the knife was still stuck in the woman’s abdomen prior to their arrival.

The victim’s friend B (Alias) told police that Sasiampai and her were riding a motorcycle and were unaware of a man, whom B believed was her friend’s ex-boyfriend, following behind them. As soon as they reached a sharl curve and slowed to a near stop, the suspect dismounted his bike and dashed to stab Sasiampai repeatedly in the back until she collapsed, then stabbed her again in the abdomen before escaping on his bike.

Ban Bueng police questioned the victim’s employer Mr. Saman Duencham and were told that Sasiampai’s assailant was believed to be her ex-boyfriend Mr. Nattapon “Bell” Taotumma, 32. Sasiampai reportedly broke up with him for a month and ran away because he was reportedly addicted to gambling.
The employer said his deceased employee had a new boyfriend, which might have fueled her ex-boyfriend to murder her.

Not long after the incident, Bell was arrested by Ban Bueng police over the murder of his ex-girlfriend yesterday. He reportedly confessed to the charge, saying he was furious that his ex-girlfriend had a new boyfriend and that she refused to help him pay debts.
