Thief steals 200,000 baht from local grocery store in Chonburi

Chonburi —

A security camera caught a man stealing money roughly worth 200,000 baht from a local grocery store in Chonburi.

The female victim, Ms. Pranee Rakchat, 35, told local media that a male thief walked into her grocery shop in the Ban Kao subdistrict of Phan Thong district in Chonburi and grabbed around 200,000 baht from her money box.

The victim did not see the suspect, but he wore long trousers, a black facial mask, a black fanny pack, and a brown long-sleeved shirt, according to CCTV footage.

The incident took place at 3 PM on Sunday, October 23rd. Luckily, the victim stated that she remembered the suspect’s face as he drove past her shop a couple of times before.

The shop owner filed a police report at the Phan Thong police station. She hoped that the culprit would be arrested soon as she needed the money to refill her stock.
