Now for our update:
Pol. Col. Kunlachart revealed to The Pattaya News that he had traced the suspect’s escape route using CCTV footage and found that the suspect had escaped to the Sri Racha district of Chonburi on his motorcycle.
Pattaya and Sri Racha police then discovered the motorcycle in the footage and held a stakeout around the area, trying to capture the suspect, but to no avail. However, the officers located the suspect’s rental room and went there only to find an individual who appeared to be the suspect’s mother, according to a police report. Her name was not provided to the press.
The suspect’s clothes, shoes, and a red woolen hat that he reportedly wore while allegedly extorting jewelry from the victim were seized, Pol. Col. Kunlachart said. Pattaya police would summon the suspect for an interrogation and then issue an arrest warrant if he did not show up.
