Bhumjaithai Party shows no concern for Pheu Thai’s petition to dissolve its party, Deputy leader says

Bangkok –

The petition to dissolve Bhumjaithai Party would not cause any trouble to the party, Bhumjaithai Deputy Leader Songsak Thongsri told the Associated Press on Tuesday, October 18th.

This follows yesterday’s announcement from the Pheu Thai Party on Monday, October 17th, that they would file a petition to the Election Committee to consider the dissolution of the Bhumjaithai Party for allegedly deceiving the public by introducing a legal marijuana policy in the previous election.

Songsak said that there was no discussion among the party members regarding the news yet but the party had always followed its policy as announced during the 2019 election. So, there was no worries about the party dissolution petition so far.

When asked if the opposition parties submitted a motion or asked several questions about the marijuana policy, Songsak confirmed that “all of them can surely be answered, don’t worry.”
