Gold necklace and ring worth 46,000 baht robbed from local woman in Pattaya in broad daylight

Pattaya —

A local woman told Pattaya police she was robbed by a man on a motorcycle on Soi Thepprasit 8 in Pattaya yesterday, October 16th.

The victim, Ms. Kulab Tansanthiayu, 54, reported her plight to Pol. Lt. Col. Pitak Noensaeng, an investigation officer at the Pattaya police station, stating she went out to buy food with her one-year-old grandson on Soi Thepprasit 8 and was robbed by an unidentified man around 4:30 PM.

The suspect was a Thai man, standing around 160–165 cm tall and wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, long black trousers, and a red woolen hat, according to Ms. Kulab. He approached her from behind and asked for her gold necklace and ring worth 46,000 baht as well as a 50 baht banknote.

The victim said she tried to beg the suspect to leave her alone, but the suspect allegedly threatened to shoot her if she didn’t comply before racing away on a motorcycle with no license plate.

Pol. Lt. Col. Pitak was examining the incident scene and CCTV footage to track down the suspect to bring him to justice.
