Sattahip, Chonburi –

The Mountain B pub in Sattahip that caught fire, killed 25 people, and injured 32 people has been demolished.

Yesterday (October 15th) at the Mountain B pub on Sukhumvit Road in the Plu Ta Luang sub-district, the remains of the pub were totally demolished. All iron structures were removed from the area.

Thirteen people were pronounced dead at the scene at the Mountain B pub fire on August 5th, 2022. Twelve people were later pronounced dead at hospitals. In total 25 people died from the incident while 32 people are being treated at hospitals and at homes.

The destruction of the pub, however, is not the closure of this saga.

Survivors and families of the victims have been pleading with the DSI in Bangkok to conduct an independent investigation on the fire versus just regional and local authorities as many believed that hidden or silent business partners were involved that should be brought to accountability.

A father and son believed to be the primary owners of the club have previously been arrested, with more details found here. Both are currently out on bail awaiting legal proceedings on multiple cases brought forth by authorities and victim’s families.
