Chonburi —

A delivery man was killed on the spot after his pickup truck collided with another vehicle whose unidentified driver reportedly fled after the accident in Pattaya.

An investigator, Pol. Capt. Sornsuphan Ottonsri-anan from the Banglamung police station, was notified of the fatal accident on a bypass road in the Nong Pla Lai subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi.

The accident unfolded at 5:30 AM today, October 13th. Banglamung police and rescue services found a pickup truck with a demolished bumper on the road. The victim was identified as Mr. Jesada Chanthea aged around 20-30 years old and was stuck inside the truck wreckage. The truck was a delivery truck, according to police reports, labeled Kerry. The driver was pronounced dead on the spot by police.

Broken car parts were discovered scattered on the road. Pol. Capt. Sornsuphan suspected that the victim may have crashed with another vehicle that fled after the accident. A 55-year-old witness Mr. Somchai Saensungnoen ascertained the officer’s assumption, saying he saw another party driving a trailer truck that fled, but unfortunately, he did not see the license plate.

Pol. Capt. Sornsuphan stated that he would examine CCTV footage to find the other driver. The victim’s body was transported to Banglamung Hospital to wait for his family and relatives.
