A group of villagers in Moo 3 in the Plu Ta Luang sub-district of Sattahip has been ordered to evacuate immediately to escape flash floods.
The order was launched at 10 AM today, October 11th, after the area was stuck by severe flash floods.
Several rescue services were deployed to help the citizens vacate. Many affected people were children and elderly whose houses were suddenly flooded with knee-deep floodwaters.
Mr. Somboon Lalad, deputy mayor of the Plu Ta Luang subdistrict, told local media that most residents were safe, but there were about ten households that remained on his watch list.
Nonetheless, Sattahip rescue services were always on standby to help with the evacuation.
