NIDA and Pattaya City to support cultural shows for tourism

Pattaya —

NIDA and Pattaya City are partnering to support cultural shows in Pattaya to promote tourism.

The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) and Pattaya officials met at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Pattaya to exchange ideas and strategies for increasing tourism revenue through cultural shows.

Professor Therdchai Nuamnuek from the Faculty of Tourism Management of NIDA expressed his views, saying there has been an increase in tourists traveling to Thailand to watch and learn about cultural shows. The number of these tourists is growing rapidly due to the changing trends, which Therdchai said could be a new way for the city to generate more revenue.

NIDA, therefore, provided funding to Pattaya City to research this growing trend. “Once finished, the research data will be used to develop a plan to draw in more tourists using cultural shows as the main attraction for sustainable growth,” Therdchai stated.
