Pattaya —
Several parts of Pattaya became deluged after a two-hour downpour struck the city late this afternoon, October 3rd.
The affected areas were mostly Pattaya Second Road, Beach Road, North Pattaya Road, Sukhumvit Road, and South Pattaya Road.
The water level in certain areas was so high that the road became impassable for motorcycles, according to Pattaya traffic police. Heavy traffic jams were reported across the city due to the floods, even though some reports said floodwaters receded noticeably quicker than last time.
Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampiches said on his social media accounts that his plan to minimize the effects of flooding by having the city workers clean the sewers regularly seemed to work, as most areas saw improvements in rainwater drainage speed.
