UPDATE: Two suspects who reportedly shot blank gun in front of Pattaya Police station surrender

Pattaya —

Two young suspects who reportedly shot a blank gun in front of the Pattaya police station to scare their rivals finally surrendered.

Our previous story:

Two groups of teenage students allegedly had an altercation in front of the Pattaya police station before firing three rounds from a firearm into the sky, terrifying nearby tourists.

Now for our update:

Pol. Col. Methawit Praditphon and other investigators from the Pattaya police station jointly interrogated two suspects in a shooting in front of the Pattaya police station Wednesday, September 28th, namely Mr. Tharatip Mai-iam (19) and Mr. Saksit Daoloy (21). However, at the time they did not arrest the suspects although all evidence pointed to them as the main culprits.

The two suspects finally surrendered at the Pattaya police station yesterday, September 30th, after being pressured by police due to overwhelming evidence. The two young men brought a blank 9mm pistol and five blank bullets with them, claiming this was the weapon they used to threaten their rivals.

Pattaya police then compounded their weapon as well as their blue Honda Wave motorbike that they used to escape. The two suspects claimed that they had an altercation with their rivals about women and only wanted to scare them by shooting into the air, claiming they didn’t mean to scare any tourists or hurt anyone.

The suspects are being held by police for further legal proceedings as of press time.
