The rather strong wind forces the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand up to 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. The waves in the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high and in thundershowers more than 2 meters high.
The Department also warns the public to beware of severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. Residents along the seashore should beware of inshore surges. All boats should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore until October 1st.
