Pattaya —
Deputy Mayor Manoch Nongyai declared that the ongoing drainage project on South Pattaya Second Road linking with Beach Road by Walking Street will be completed by September 30th, 2022, and will permanently fix flooding problems in nearby areas.
The deputy’s visit took place around lunchtime today, September 21st, in order to urge the project’s contractor, Ektawee and KS company, to expedite the project that the locals said has left only 60 meters of the road passable for drivers.

The deputy also addressed the flooding problems in the area that were exacerbated by the project, saying the roadwork around South Pattaya Second Road would be completed by September 30th, 2022, and it would solve the flooding once and for all.

In the meantime, the deputy apologized to local residents and tourists for possible late-night noises, explaining that construction workers currently have to work around the clock to finish the project before the near deadline.
When everything is clear, the deputy promised to have the contractor repair the roadside businesses and houses that were damaged by the project.
