Motorcyclist seriously injured after allegedly running red light and crashing into a car at intersection in Pattaya

Banglamung, Chonburi –

A female motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing into a sedan at Prarinya Intersection in North Pattaya of Nong Prue Subdistrict in the early hours of Sunday, September 18th.

Officials and rescue volunteers from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation arrived at the scene around 2:30 AM. on Sunday after being alerted to the road accident involving a motorcycle and a sedan.

There, the motorcycle with Khon Kaen license plates was found in the middle of the road. The 38-year-old driver, who was later identified only as Kanungnit, was discovered lying nearby with a large wound on her left leg and several all over her body. The rescuers performed first aid before rushing her to Banglamung hospital.

A Benz sedan was also parked at the scene with a damaged front bumper. According to a local witness, the motorcycle rider reportedly broke the red traffic light from Soi Thai Udon when the Mercedes-Benz was coming legally in a straight direction, causing the crash and injuring the motorcyclist.
