42-year-old chauffeur dies in van in Pattaya

Pattaya —

A 42-year-old male chauffeur was found dead in his van in Pattaya.

The Thai chauffeur, Ekakkan Nuk-im (42), was found dead lying downward in his van early this morning, September 17th. The chauffeur’s body was discovered by his co-worker, Prawit Phuangthong (59).

Prawit told Pattaya police responding to the incident that he came to look for his friend because he suddenly went out of contact while they were talking on the phone after arriving in Pattaya from Sri Racha. He then found his friend’s van parked at Bali Hai Pier and peeked inside and saw his friend slumped on the van floor.

Pattaya police found no signs of fighting or wounds to the chauffeur’s body. They photographed the incident scene as evidence and transferred the body to Police Hospital for an autopsy. An inquiry from the chauffeur’s relatives pointed out that the man had heart disease.
