Gas tanks spill across road in Pattaya when truck overturns

A truck overturned after its tire exploded and spilled its load of gas tanks on the road in Pattaya, causing panic.

A startling mishap occurred at 11 a.m. yesterday, September 12th, on Motorway Number 7 when an Isuzu NLR 130 truck heading to Pattaya overturned and spilled its load of several gas tanks all over the road.

The vehicle was found lying on its side near a concrete barrier by Pattaya Sawang Boriboon rescue services, with its rear tire busted.

About 35 gas tanks containing helium and carbon dioxide were scattered across the road after the car flipped over and were moved out of the way, as they caused panic to drivers. One gas tank was found leaking, accroding to reports.

The truck driver, Mr. Songkran Petchsuk (51), who sustained no injuries, stated to The Pattaya News that he was transporting the gas tanks to his customer in Pattaya when his tire suddenly exploded and caused his car to overturn. The man said he was very lucky because nobody was injuried.
