Olympic Day wraps up with hundreds of runners on Pattaya Beach

Hundreds of runners flocked to Pattaya Beach to attend the Olympic Day race, which officially wrapped up Saturday, September 10th.

The Olympic Day race took place on Pattaya Beach early Saturday morning. It had attracted hundreds of runners from all over the city as well as from Pattaya’s vicinity. The race consisted of various types of sports, but the highlights were a 5-kilometer and a 2.8-kilometer run.

At the end of the first race, medals were awarded to the first three men and three women who passed the finish line, as well as the first ten men and ten women who finished the second race.

In addition to this, there were other sports such as basketball, beach volleyball, beach tennis, boxing, and paddle boarding, which were all deemed successful by Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampiches, who said through the local media channels,

“I feel overwhelmed by the number of participants. I am grateful for everyone who came to the race and helped pick up trash on the beach. This is a huge success, and there will be more.”
