Rayong province —

Hundreds of households in Rayong province have been affected by massive floods that have lasted since September 7th.

Today, September 10th, Rayong Governor Mr. Channa Iamsaeng has designated 17 subdistricts in 4 districts of Rayong as the “disaster-stricken” areas, including Mueang district, Ban Khai district, Wang Chan district, and Klaeng district, as the areas have been continually flooded since Wednesday, September 7th.

More than 100 households in 83 villages have been cut off from power for several days as a safety precaution, but fortunately, most major roads have already been able to reopen, according to recent reports.

Residents in Klaeng district are still concerned about the rain, which has now stopped as of September 10th, but the sky remains overcast.

The floodwaters in Mueang, Ban Khai, and Wang Chan districts have gradually receded, but the governor still advises citizens to remain vigilant.

Locals whose properties and crops have been damaged demand that the government compensate them.
