Pattaya —

Pattaya officials released updates and details about the upcoming Pattaya Festival that would take place from September 16th to 17th.

Pattaya deputy mayor Mr. Krishna Boonsawas chaired a meeting on Thursday September 1st to draft measures and update details about the upcoming two-day long Pattaya Festival, which would take the city by storm on Pattaya Beach.

The measures during the festival mostly involved security, traffic, and Covid-19 prevention like a mask mandate, social-distancing, etc.

The festival’s theme was “neon lights,” according to the deputy mayor. There would be a colorful parade, battles of renowned marching bands, and concerts led by “Big Ass” and “Buddha Bless” — the former a retro Thai music band, the latter a hip hop group.

The parade would start rolling from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. from the Dolphin roundabout down Beach Road to Central Pattaya Beach. Unfortunately, Beach Road would be shortly closed during this period to make way for the expected thousands of attendees.
