Thai CBD Co. is planning with the Pattaya authorities to grow cannabis in Pattaya areas to generate extra income for local residents.
Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Wuthisak Rermkijakarn presided over a meeting on a proposal to grow cannabis in Pattaya areas proposed by Thai CBD Co. on August 26th.
Thai CBD is one of the market leaders in cannabis and its medical applications. The purpose of growing cannabis in Pattaya areas, according to the Thai CBD representatives, was to generate additional income for local residents especially those who are suffering from poverty.
Initially, the deputy mayor and other Pattaya authorities reportedly agreed with the idea. The relevant officials had been assigned to find the optimal area to grow cannabis.
The authorities also asked Thai CBD to find the market and handle legal matters for the local residents with an emphasis that cannabis must be sold as ingredients, cosmetics, and medicine only and not for recreational usage.
