Sri Racha —

A 59-year-old Thai man who had not gone to work for three days was found dead in his room by his worried friend. No injuries or signs of burglary were discovered.

The incident scene was a room inside a garage. The room was locked, but Somsak Lapthaisong, 58, who called the police said he could smell a pungent odor coming from the room of his friend. The rescue workers had to wedge the door open to get inside before they found the deceased body of Khamphan Chamaram, 59, in a bed.

Khamphan was born in Buriram province, his friend Somsak told the police. He had not gone to work for three days and suddenly went out of contact, so Somsak grew worried and came to look for him at his room. He was last seen alive on the evening of August 16th.

Pol. Lt. Col. Nitipoom found no injuries on the man’s body or indicators of burglary inside the room. Initially, he had the body transported to Laem Chabang Hospital for an autopsy and would interrogate the landlord for more information.
