Pattaya —

An Australian man who reportedly pretended to rent a condo in Pattaya suddenly dived to his death from the 17th floor.

The incident that totally caught a clerk at a condominium in Pattaya off his guard happened just this morning, August 8th, when an Australian man who reportedly came to look at a condo to rent suddenly climbed over the railing and dived to his death from the 17th floor.

The condominium was located on Pattaya Second Road in the Nongprue subdistrict, however the name was withheld due to a pending investigation. The man was found dead in the back of a hotel with several bone fractures and a severe stomach injury. He wore a grey shirt and blue shorts, carrying only 10 baht, while his luggage and passport were discovered in the room on the 17th floor.

A 41-year-old Australian man, whose name was withheld by law enforcement and TPN media policy on suicides, reportedly walked into the condominium to rent a room, the clerk said. While checking his room on the 17th floor, however, the man just climbed over the balcony railing and dived to his death, terrifying the clerk and other people at the condominium.

The reason for his action remains unknown, as of press time. Meanwhile, the officers said they would notify the man’s relatives and the Australian Embassy of his demise.
