Chonburi police conduct proactive nightclub inspection at Pattaya’s Walking Street yesterday, following tragic incidents in Ubon Ratchathani and Sattahip last week

Pattaya, Chonburi –

Provincial Police Region 2 conducted a proactive inspection of entertainment venues in Pattaya on Saturday evening, August 6th, stressing inspection of firearms, drugs, and fire prevention measures, following the tragic incidents in Ubon Ratchathani and Sattahip last week.

Deputy Commissioner Surachit Chingnawan led the Provincial Police Region 2 officials and tourist police to inspect Walking Street, stressing to all venue operators the legal closing time and the prohibition of minors to enter the establishments.

Officials also reiterated the strict forbidding of illegal drugs and weapons in the venues as well as safety and fire prevention measures, including emergency exits, escape route plans, protective equipment, and fire equipment.

All operators were reminded that if they were found guilty or violated, legal action would be taken immediately. Meanwhile, the police officials would constantly patrol the area and would report to the supervisor immediately if any abnormality was inspected.
