Another Pattaya egg merchant reports dozens of eggs stolen, police believe serial egg thief in the area

Banglamung —

Another Pattaya egg merchant said that a man who drove a rusty pickup truck stole dozens of her eggs. The suspect may be the same person who previously committed a similar theft in the nearby area, according to Banglamung police officers.

A 57-year-old female egg merchant Bang-on Prem-on reached out to The Pattaya News reporters on Wednesday, July 20th, to report her grievance that a man who drove a rusty pickup truck stole dozens of eggs from her stall in the Khao Mai Kaew subdistrict of Banglamung a week ago.

Bang-on told The Pattaya News reporters that the suspect was around 40-45 years old, Thai, dressed like an ordinary merchant, and drove a rusty pickup truck. She said that the suspect ordered dozens of eggs and tried to keep her busy by asking her to write a bill while he was fussing with his phone.

The suspect then told Bang-on he had to go get some cash from his car but suddenly sped away with the eggs. The victim reported the incident to police who presumed that it was the same man who previously stole dozens of eggs worth 8,600 baht from another egg merchant in the Huai Yai subdistrict on July 19th.

Initially, the police said they would review CCTV footage to locate the suspect’s whereabouts and bring him to justice to stop this crime spree.
