Pattaya mayor helps remove unused wires around Soi Nong Ket Yai near Sukhumvit Road

Pattaya —

Pattaya mayor Poramese Ngampiches helped remove unused wires around Soi Nong Ket Yai near Sukhumvit Rd to deter a potential fire caused by a short circuit.

Poramese participated in this operation on the morning of July 12th. The operation was in partnership with the Provincial Electricity Authority and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission to eliminate unused and entangled communication cables that risked causing a fire.

According to Poramese, he has directed his subordinates to remove old wires around the city on a regular basis since the fire incident at Sampeng Market in Bangkok that killed two Thai citizens.
“I want to make Pattaya residents and tourists feel at ease, which is why all the unused wires must be eliminated,” said the mayor.

Another similar operation will take place again on July 19th to remove an old transformer at Soi Khao Talo, the mayor stated.
