Pattaya police inspect nightlife venues, warn against drugs, weapons, minors’ access

Pattaya

Pattaya police inspected major nightlife venues in the Pattaya area last night, July 8th, to warn operators about drugs, weapons, minors’ access, and some Covid-19 regulations that are still in effect.

The police chief of the Pattaya Police Station, Kunlachart Kunlachai, surveyed major nightlife venues in the Pattaya area last night with a troop of law enforcement. According to Kunlachart, this inspection intended to surveil potentially offensive acts, especially the use of drugs, the carrying of weapons, and minors’ access. The officers also administered random drug tests to ensure that everyone was drug-free.

Chief Kunlachart also advised venue operators to avoid physically engaging upset or disgruntled foreign customers in any given situation and instead contact the police to resolve the issue.

Lastly, although most Covid-19 regulations have been lifted, the nightlife venues still have to comply with the remaining ones such as wearing a mask if the venues have poor ventilation.
