Young driver breaks his arm after crashing his motorbike into a pickup truck in Pattaya

A 17-year-old motorbike driver has broken his arm after he crashed his motorbike into a pickup truck after he reportedly slowed down to look at people fighting on the street in Banglamung yesterday (July 7th).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 5:00 P.M. on the Motorway Road in Nongprue.

They arrived at the scene to find the motorbike stuck under the back of the pickup truck. The pickup truck driver, Mr. Wittawat Poonpeam, 31, who was not injured, was at the scene. The young motorbike driver, Mr. Nontawat (last name withheld), 17, had broken his arm. He was taken to a local hospital for urgent medical assistance.

Wittawat told police that there were people fighting on the roadside. He had slowed down to see what happened as well as the motorbike driver before the crash.

It was unclear who was at fault, according to Banglamung police, who would investigate further. The people reportedly fighting fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and details were sparse on what the altercation was regarding.
