The following is our exclusive weekly feature in which we ask our readers a news topical question and then give you a week to answer it on our various channels, compiling a diverse range of answers and opinions to present to you, our valued readers. Here are the results from our last question…
It has been a while since we asked a “non-news” question so this week our question is simple, but, surprisingly one we have never asked before looking through our prior Reader Talkbacks. Simply put, what is your favorite bar in Pattaya? If you would like to tell us why, please do so.
Here is what you, our readers, had to say as our editors selected some of the most diverse responses to highlight different points of view. Obviously, we can’t post everyone’s opinion here so we selected a variety of the most varied opinions. As always, the opinions and statements below are the reader’s own and may not reflect those of TPN media. There have been minor edits for spelling and grammar only:

Dennis O-Coconut Bar. Nice view, plenty of ladies, no bar fine, best prices, opens early and closes late (actually 24 hrs) always some action and easy to find.

Don A-Any bar with a counter overlooking traffic and pedestrians. Wombats in Jomtien! #1
-=-==-=-=-=-
Alan M-Rockhouse – good banter, sports, cold beer, full shot measures, friendly owners

KFZ-Matador Bar

Mr. NoNo- None. All bars should be closed like during Covid-19 and alcohol banned. It is against the belief of God and instead, everyone should be spending time at their local temple or church learning religion and repenting.

My favorite bar is Travellers Rest Sportsbar in Soi Lengkee. Mainly because I play golf from there.
There is always a golf buddy to hang out with, and they have live music every Friday with free food for golfers. They just got a new chef that is able to cook dishes from the danish cuisine, so I feel very much at home there. Good atmosphere, low prices, and very friendly staff. Check it out 🙂

Pete-Lewinskis on Soi 13/3. They do quiz nights, golf, veterans events, no loud music or awful rap or dance music or club vibe, CHEAP beer, great for ex-pats on a budget.

Karl I-Anywhere beer is 60 baht or less. Anywhere else is a rip-off and a scam. The bar should also have a stellar lineup of staff not on phones, complimentary snacks, NO rap or pop music, and if they sell food must be FULL servings for CHEAP. Breakfasts should be 99 baht or less and have FREE coffee or juice with unlimited servings. The bar should not have annoying managers drinking shots and bothering me.

Miika V-Have so many good water holes in Pattaya, but Booze Lounge at Kao Talo is worth mentioning. Top bar.

Craig D-i-Rovers Sports Bar. Cold beer, great food, live sports, and a fun crowd.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-
Maggie May’s, Soi Chaiyapoon. Real pub atmosphere, friendly and great non-pushy staff. Best Guinness in town.
-=-=–=-=-=-=-==-
Lindsay F-Pig & Whistle, Soi 7 was a favorite of mine. The all-day Sunday sessions. Great bunch of guys in Ron, Bob & Andrew. LK Metro is now my main drinking area. Scooters and Billabong.

Steven M-Yuth bar, next to siam@siam Hotel… Great live music all night

David B-My home from the home bar is Le Pub Soi Diamond
-=-=-=-=-==-=–
Maverick-Regular at Fever Bar on LK, I like Shooters, and A7 on Soi 7, Sunday lunch with friends in Beer Garden at the start of WS.

That is all for this week.
