14-year-old dies, two adult women seriously injured after intoxicated driver crashes their pickup truck into a motorbike in Pattaya

A 14-year-old boy died while two others have sustained injuries after an intoxicated driver crashed his pickup truck into a motorbike in Banglamung last night (July 7th).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 10:00 P.M. on a road near the Mapprachan Reservoir. They arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck and the damaged motorbike on the side of the road.

Two adult women have sustained serious injuries while a 14-year-old boy has been pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the victim and injured were withheld by law enforcement.

No witnesses saw the accident. The pickup truck driver, whose name was also withheld by law enforcement, reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol before driving. The intoxicated driver was said to be cooperative with law enforcement and waited for police to arrive.

Banglamung police are continuing their investigation for further legal action. A blood alcohol test was set to be conducted on the driver to determine the exact level of intoxication.
