Bangkok –

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha, as director of the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), will attend the general meeting of the CCSA at the Santi Maitree Building, Government House, on Friday, July 8th.

The major agenda includes the Public Health Ministry’s report on the current situation of Covid-19 in the country and the trend of infections while the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, along with the Ministry of Interior, will report the performance after fully opening the border to welcome foreign travelers into the Kingdom.

In addition, the meeting will consider guidelines for the management of Covid-19 after the pandemic, as reported by the Ministry of Health. Various operational centers will also report the results of operations, problems, and obstacles as well as suggestions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at the meeting.

The public is anticipating whether the CCSA would discuss the result of the mask mandate after being implemented about two weeks ago as well as the possible reinstatement of mask mandates, as proposed by several Thai doctors and medical associations, after Public Anutin Charnvirakul stated earlier that the Ministry would take all concerns into consideration and will propose to the CCSA this Friday.
