Sattahip to hold traditional lantern festival at Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan) later this month

A traditional lantern festival will be held at the Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan) in Sattahip this month.

A press conference was held at the Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan) in the Na Jomtien sub-district today (July 7th) and was led by the Chonburi Vice Governor Niti Wiwatwanich.

Vice Governor Niti said, “The festival is aimed to honour His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and to celebrate for King Vajiralongkorn, Rama X as well as to worship the Buddha.”

“The official ceremony will be held on July 22nd at 4:30 P.M. with a lantern parade. On July 23rd we will present a special Thai traditional performance ‘Khon’.”
