Sri Racha, Chonburi —

A pickup truck crashed into a streetside shop and house around midnight today, June 3rd, in Sri Racha and damaged several properties. The driver was allegedly intoxicated, the house owner told local reporters.

Footage from a security camera showed a pickup truck driving at high speed before crashing into a streetside store and house on Sri Racha Nong Kho Rd, Surasak sub-district, Sri Racha, Chonburi. No injuries were reported.

A 42-year-old shop owner, Nareerat Munsri, told local reporters that the bronze truck had collided with a store adjacent to her house first and then crashed into her house. She said that the male driver, whose name was revealed later by local reporters as Udom Boon Ho, 33, seemed intoxicated and could not speak properly. He damaged several properties including an electric pole, a parked sedan, a motorbike, a shop, and her house.

Nareerat pleaded with all drivers to be more cautious as it may put other people’s lives at risk.

As of now, Sri Racha police were reviewing security footage and interrogating the driver to determine the cause of the incident and move forward with potential legal charges.
