Pattaya police inspect Walking Street entertainment venues on the first day of reopening to remind operators about the rules

Walking Street, Pattaya —

A troop of Pattaya police officers inspected Walking Street entertainment venues on the first day of the official legal reopening on June 1st to remind the operators about the rules.

Yesterday, Wednesday of June 1st, marked the first day of the legal reopening of entertainment venues in Pattaya as well as other areas in the green and blue zones since their enforced closure and conversion into restaurants in April of 2021.

A troop of police officers led by Pol Maj. Gen. Surachit Chingnawan, Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 2 and relevant law enforcement were seen patrolling Walking Street and visiting each active entertainment place to remind the owners and employee to obey the rules set by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation or CCSA.

Some of the rules include closing hours at midnight sharp, avoiding sharing containers, administering an ATK test to staff, a crime prevention license, and totally avoiding violent encounters with tourists. Officer Surachit reiterated that all operators must close their venues at midnight sharp.

Officer Surachit was reportedly pleased with the operators’ cooperation. He wanted the businesses to carry on to drive the economy.
