Tasty, homemade fermented fish sauce at a “secret” Issan restaurant in Pattaya, Moom Zab

Pattaya —
Located near the side of Thepprasit Rd in Pattaya, Chonburi, Moom Zab, which means spicy corner, is one of a handful of Issan, or Northeastern, restaurants in Pattaya.

Unlike most restaurants that use industrially made sauces, Mrs. Buaban Osarn, owner and cook at Moom Zab, opts to make her own fermented fish sauce that she uses in most of her dishes. The sauce makes her food stand out from other restaurants and comes in a bottle for her customers to buy for only 50 baht in order to add it to other menus if they see fit.

Mrs. Buaban runs Moom Zab from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with no need for days off. She invites you to try her food at Thepprasit Rd in Pattaya, Chonburi. She also accepts food delivery services like Grab, Lineman, and Food Panda. Give her a call at 098-359 4289 or 063-297 5234 or visit her Facebook page here: Moom Zab.
