Multiple motorbike thieves caught in Sri Racha, eight stolen motorbikes found

Bowin sub-district, Sri Racha, Chonburi —

Five alleged motorbike thieves were caught in Bowin, Sri Racha, yesterday. Police impounded over eight stolen motorbikes.

Yesterday, May 28th, Pol. Maj. Gen. Atthasit Kitjahan and Bowin deputy police chief Chusak Pinrat held a press conference at the Bowin Police Station to announce the arrest of five alleged motorcycle thieves who reportedly stole eight motorbikes from across the province.

The first three male suspects, Pongsakorn “Palm” Wannachai, 22, Thatchaphon “Ohm” Jaikwang, 21, and Anuwat “Peth” Jaikwang, 20, were accused of stealing eight motorcycles and selling them on a Facebook group. Prior to the arrest, Bowin police were notified of a stolen modified Honda Wave 125 motorcycle on May 25th, so police tracked down the suspects, conducted a sting operation with the victim, and eventually arrested the three suspects red-handed with the stolen motorcycle. Further investigation resulted in the impoundment of eight stolen motorcycles in total.

Another two suspects were also caught yesterday, May 27th. Panudet “Bas” Krobchinda and Hiran “Peed” Intharit, admitted to stealing motorcycles in the Bowin area and selling it on a Facebook group. They said they primarily targeted Honda Wave 125 motorcycles because they sold fast and easily.

Bowin police also detected illegal drug substances in the suspects’ urine. The suspects are awaiting further legal action. Bowin police urge the victims of motorbike thefts to retrieve their motorcycles at the Bowin Police Station.
