Two young men on motorcycle seriously injured after colliding with pickup truck in Naklua

A young motorcycle rider and a passenger were seriously injured after colliding with a pickup truck this afternoon in Naklua.

Today, May 20th, Bang Lamung police and the Sawang Boriboon Thammasat Foundation responded to a car collision with two people heavily injured in front of the Khlong Thom Market on Sukhumvit Rd, Na Kluea sub-district, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.

At the accident scene, the police found a bronze Toyota pickup truck with a blue Honda Wave attached to the front. The two injured teenagers, Kitnai Kophimai, 19, and Rungrat Wangkhiri, 20, who drove the bike, sustained serious injuries and were immediately hospitalized at the nearest hospital.
Kamonrat Iamsawat, a 62-year-old uninjured female pickup truck driver, nervously testified that she was heading home in Central Pattaya when the teenagers cut her off and eventually collided with her. She claimed that she was not negligent as she quickly left her car to aid the teenagers and contacted rescue workers.
According to the report, both teenagers were college trainees and were on their way to lunch.

As of press time, no charges had been filed in the accident.
