Police arrest intoxicated 18-year-old man high on paint thinner trying to steal from an air conditioning store in Pattaya

Bang Lamung, Chonburi —

Nong Prue police arrested an intoxicated 18-year-old man this morning who was trying to steal from an air conditioner store. The man was reportedly intoxicated on paint thinner.

At around 5.00 p.m. today, May 20th, Nong Prue police were notified of a young man who was trying to steal from an air-con store near Chaiyapruek Rd, Nong Prue sub-district, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.


Police and a Good Samaritan then captured a Thai 18-year-old man (name not given) who was red-handedly inside the store and trying to steal various air-con equipment. The man was reportedly under the influence of paint thinner.


Ongkorn Kheow-Nil, an 18-year-old store clerk who lives above the shop, told police that he saw the suspect sneak into the back of the store and rummage through the equipment, so he called out for help and contacted police.
The suspect was in police’s custody and awaited legal proceedings. Due to the suspect’s intoxicated state he was unable to answer questions posed by The Pattaya News team.
