A woman was arrested at a beach in the Nong Prue sub-district for allegedly opening a fraudulent bank account involved in a Chinese gambling website.

Yesterday, May 13th, Pol. Maj. Gen. Montree Teskan arrested a 41-year-old woman, Daeng Chansingto, on a beach in the Nong Prue sub-district, Bang Lamung, Chonburi on an arrest warrant issued by the Rayong provincial court. She was charged with fraud and violation of the computer crimes act.

According to the report, Daeng opened a bank account for a Chinese gambling website in exchange for money in 2021. The website then used her bank account to accept illegal funds from fraudulent investments involving ten victims, who filed lawsuits against her across the country, leading to her arrest yesterday.

Initially, Daeng reportedly confessed to the charges and was transferred to the Nong Krap Police Station for further legal proceedings, ending her day out at the beach.
